Intel G965 Chipset ICH8

Im having problems installing iPC 10.5.6 on my Acer Aspire M5500.

 

I have a ICH8 G965 chipset, the iPC dvd boots fine and installs, but when it reboots after install and I type in the command -v -f and hit enter, it keeps getting stuck at "Waiting for root device"

 

Any suggestions ? Kexts ?
