fluffy69
I have a Gigabyte P35-DS3 Board running with a Q6600 CPU and a SATA LG DVD-Burner. My OSX installation is iDeneb 10.5.5 updated to 10.5.8 running a vanilla kernel. Every now and then there is a certain noise comming from the DVD-Burner, trying to access the drive or scanning it for a medium. I fear, that i will encounter the same problem, once i switch to Snow Leopard. However i would like to get that sound issue under control first, because i'm not planning to upgrade to Snow Leopard within the next months. Things i tryed: I installed the ICH9 Fix from the Gigabyte Control Center App. I edited the com.apple.Boot.plist and added <key>Rescan</key> <string>No</string> none of the above did work maybe one of you has a better idea. Thanks for reading and maybe helping me out. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194364-dvd-burner-accessrescan/ Share on other sites
