Emory Dunn
I have a Motion Computing J3400 tablet PC which I have happily running Snow Leopard and I have almost everything working. Of the things that don't work I want to try and get the hardware buttons (5-way navigation plus a few others) to work. I know that they run through a serial port which outputs them as keystrokes (up, down, left, right, enter, you get the idea) but I can't get OS X to see the serial port. OS X sees three serial ports: serial0 (the tablet, which was added by TabletMagic), Bluetooth-PDA-Sync, and Bluetooth-Modem. Both Bluetooth ports are used for Bluetooth (shocking, I know!) and are recognised as such in System Profiler. In Windows they show up in the device manager as HID\MCOHidDevice&Col02 HID_DEVICE_SYSTEM_KEYBOARD HID_DEVICE_UP:0001_U:0006 HID_DEVICE Does anyone have any ideas on how to get these working? Here's a link to the specs on the computer (if that will help any): http://www.motioncomputing.com/products/ta...pc_J34_spec.asp Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194310-serial-hardware-buttons/ Share on other sites
