This is a similar install to a sony VAIO VGN success install posted at http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=153774 but I just made this simple and there's no command line commands to use with this install. Good for noobs.

1. Create your windows vista partition for the iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Final PPF5 install (for dual boot)

2. Download the iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Final PPF5 and burn it to a DVD (at 4x speed for me)

4. Insert the DVD installer and reboot (make sure the boot up process reads the DVD first with BIOS)

5. Darwin loads, just wait until you get to the installation screen, select the language you want

6. Don't agree yet to what is indicated yet

7. Format the partition with the Utilities>Disk Utility with MacOS Extended Journal by selecting ERASE and close the Utilities Window to go back to installation window

8. Click agree to proceed and select the drive/partition you want it installed and click continue

9. At the install summary window click "Customise"

10. Now, this is the best part, customising it. ONLY select the following:

- OSx86 Tools

- Intel GMA950

- LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA

- Azalea Audio

- Under Power Management > Power Package and Clamshell

- PS/2 Keyboard Fix (DO NOT select PS/2 Mouse)

- SMBIOS Resolver

(- language pack you need other than default english)

11. Proceed install until you get the install success screen click Restart

12. Remove DVD installer during the bootup for the normal MAC OS boot up

13. Video/animated intro will be seen during bootup

14. Select your country and keyboard layout (not actually good for UK layout)

15. Your wireless connection

16. Register or not, up to you, just reject the Mobile Me offer (especially if you already use it with iPhone)

16. Create the user

17. YOU'RE DONE

I did not do any tweaking at all, wifi, video, DVD, audio, USB, and firewire, all working!!!

What do not work:

1. mic/speaker jacks

2. memory card/memory stick readers

3. ethernet port

But overall, you can already use your laptop with OS X Leopard.

TOTAL time installation: 15-20 mins

OS X Leopard 10.5.6 performs well and fast with this laptop unlike my Vista partition which basically crawls with the hardware configuration.

WARNING: Do no install updates to the OS coming from Apple. It'll cripple your install, and you'll have to reinstall again.
