child
So after a week or so I finally got Snow Leopard installed! Good news, right? Unfortunately, my permissions are hella {censored}ED UP. I can't run any .mpkg or .pkg files (so I can't use Disk Utility to repair permissions either). I've been booting into single user mode and running chown and chmod and the rest to try to repair permissions but it's not working. Can someone please give me a list of commands I can run from root to set all new permissions so I can use Snow Leopard? Thank you very much, child Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194102-how-to-fix-permissions-post-installation/ Share on other sites

SticMAC™
Search for BSD.pkg re-installation or receipt update, it might have something to do with the permissions issue and causing the rest!? child
Search for BSD.pkg re-installation, it might have something to do with the permissions issue and causing the rest!? SticMAC I try to run BSD.pkg, but Installer won't work (says something about permissions). Trying Kext Utility but doubt it will work. Also gives me several pop up windows about "System extension cannot be used" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194102-how-to-fix-permissions-post-installation/#findComment-1310266 Share on other sites
