EverestDreams
I have an EP45-UD3P MB running an Intel Quad Core Q9550 @ 2.83 ghz along with 8 GB of Ram. I currently have two 1 TB drives as my main drives as well as an older Samsung 160 GB to run Windows 7 from in my system. These are the exact instructions that I followed. However it seems that it takes my computer a long time to transfer files to other drives or ever other partitions on the same HD. I am wondering if I missed some ktext or didn't do something right. All my drives are SATA drives, utilizing the orange connectors on the MB, not the RAID purple ones. Any help would be much appreciated. Here are the instructions that I followed... 1. BIOS F9 Settings...disable AHCI in your BIOS...I don't have it enabled and am able to boot Leopard...(and SNOW) 2. My SATA HD is connected to the orange sata on the UD3P mobo, underneath the memory slots... 3. Boot from the iPc DVD 4.MAke sure you install these chipset drivers when you customize your installation with ONLY: Intel ICHx SATA Drivers LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA Intel ICH10 SATA Support JmicronATA for Jmicron IDE LegacyJMicronATA 5. LAN Realtek R1000 6. Under Fixes and Patches: UUID Error Fix 7.Under Applications: OSX86 Tools, DSDT PAtcherGUI, any other apps you want really...but those 2 for sure! 8. Don't install any gfx drivers/audio drivers until you are at the version of osx you want....10.5.7 in this case... 9.Install and when its done boot it up 10. Download Chameleon RC2 and install it to Leopard 11.Run DSDTPAtcher GUI and check apply dsdt patch to and choose your Leopard Install. Do not select any other options! 12. Mount the 10.5.7 update dmg and installl it and reboot...should be ok Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194031-ga-ep45-ud3p-hds-running-slow-in-1057/ Share on other sites
