delcolt
Hello everyone, I recently tried to install Iatkos v7 on my laptop. I already had windows vista installed, and created a second partition on the same hard disk for the OSX system. The installation went quite smoothly: I selected the OSX partition for installation (Mac OS extended (Journaled)), and pressed customize. My customization options are as follows: I wasn't really sure wether to choose AHCI, and not Intel SATA, or choose nothing at all. But this seemed the most logical to me. I have later also tried the installation without anything and got the same result. I didn't try it with Intel SATA, since it says in its description that it is only for non-AHCI. When the installation finished it restarted the laptop. I saw the chameleon bootloader and it went to the apple boot screen. However, it now stays stuck at the grey apple screen. After searching around a bit I went to the advanced screen, and typed in "-v" (without the quotes). It then stays stuck at the following: Now I also tried "-v cpus=1". It got a few lines further: namely here: After that I tried to go to my vista partition, but got the following error My system specs are as follows: Toshiba A500-14Q Windows Vista x64-based Intel Core™2 Duo CPU T9600 @ 2,80 Ghz 4 Ghz RAM ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4600 Series Intel ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller I have attached pictures with my full specs from Device Manager. Does anyone know what the problem is and if there is a way to succesfully install Mac OSX on my laptop whilst still being able to use Vista? IF not, does anyone know a way to at least be able to remove OSX and chameleon and get vista working again without having to format the whole laptop? Help would be greatly appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194007-dual-booting-installation-terribly-failed/ Share on other sites
