ppk luk Posted October 24, 2009 Share Posted October 24, 2009 Hi, i am trying to install mac osx to my samsung X11 notebook. i have installed iAtkos v7, it works with default setting + additional voodoo PS2 patch (for mouse and keyboard). (though no wifi driver for intel 3945abg). i meet some problems and hope you can help me: 1. the default graphic card driver come with iAtkos seems don't support nvidia 7400 GO very well. the screen will not redraw or redraw slowly sometimes. i have try the NVinject, NVdarwin, NVkush...(come with iAtkos)... but all result in a blank screen after reboot. i supply -v option in boot loader, but no error messages print. 2. when i turn on the dual core function (CPU=intel core 2 duo T7200) in BIOS, the OS keep reboot and reboot... could anybody help me? could you please give me steps/link for solving the problems? thank you ***i have install ideneb 1.5.1 before, but can't boot into the OS. ***anyone who want to install mac in samsung X11 may try iAtkos v7. ppk luk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/193907-help-samsung-x11-with-iatkos-v7-nvidia-7400-and-dual-core-problem/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
ppk luk Posted October 25, 2009 Author Share Posted October 25, 2009 i managed to solve the first problem - screen redraw slow by 1. remove the NVDAResman.kext and NVDaResmanPPC.kext 2. install NVInject (128M) but i can't turn on the CI/QE (core image and Quartx Extreme).. and i can't change the resolution (just 1024x768)... (edit the com.apple.boto.plist don't work) anybody know how to turn on CI/QE and change resolution??? thank you. ppk luk Posted October 25, 2009 Author Share Posted October 25, 2009 Hi, for the CI/QE problem, i follow some post to: 1. install NVDAResman and NVinject (0.2.1) 2. edit GeForce.kext/Info.plist, NVDANV10HAL.kext/Info.plist, NVDANV20HAL.kext/Info.plist, NVDANV30HAL.kext/Info.plist, NVDANV40HAL.kext/Info.plist, NVDANV50HAL.kext/Info.plist, NVDAResman.kext/Info.plist and NVinject.kext/Info.plist that, replace the value for IOPCIMatch or IOPICPrimaryMatch to the device ID for geforce 7400 go "0x01d810de".. but it don't works, reboot get blank screen... it seems NVinject can't coexists with NVDAResman... *** btw, it seems all NVDANB?0HAL.kext required NVDAResman.kext, am i right? could anyone give me some help?? thank you. ppk luk Posted October 26, 2009 Author Share Posted October 26, 2009 hi, i read more post and try to change only Info.plist for: NVDAResman.kext, GeForce.kext, and NVDANV40HAL.kext i add the 0x01d810de to the IOPICMatch (NVInject uninstalled).. this again result in a blank screen when reboot. i try to boot with -x option, i can boot into osx. and i run sudo kextstat and find that NVDANV40HAL.kext and NVDAResman.kext can be loaded but GeForce.kext can't. my geforce 7400 GO have 128MB dedicated ram + 128MB turbocache (shared ram?)... (in system profiler, it show my card have 256MB ram) i heard some post saying that turbocache is not supported in osx.... can i disable the turbocache ? or should i download a newer GeForce.kext? ppk luk Posted October 31, 2009 Author Share Posted October 31, 2009 ok...just to update by myself. i finally make the 7400 go works - partially..... i remove the buildin nvidia driver and install macvidia 1.0.8... (require to remove IONDRVSupport.kext too)... now i can change screen resolution, but without CI/QE.... screen is ok...no line, redraw problem and other defects for dual core problem....seems i need to use voodoo tscsync kernel... i will try it until i know the recover steps for applying this new kernel...
