Which text editors are available from iDeneb Terminal?

I enabled quiet boot and apparently my system doesn't like that. So I need to edit the boot plist and remove that entry. I booted from the iDeneb 1.6 10.5.8 disc and tried running pico and nano, but neither are available.

 

How can I edit that file from the iDeneb disc?

I found the iATKOS disc has nano. So I am trying that but it wont let me write to the boot plist. How can I force it to do that? I've tried sudo and root but they don't seem to work.
