Rodiak
So I installed a modified version of this kext hoping that it will solve my battery indicator problem but stupidly neglected to backup the original kext... Now I get a kernel panic on boot, so I really need the original version that comes with Snow Leopard (I'm on 10.6.1). If anybody can link or send it to me (rodi.a.k @ gmail.com) I would really appreciate it. Beerkex'd
Extract it from the 10.6.1 update or your 10.6 install media using Pacifist (google). Rodiak
Extract it from the 10.6.1 update or your 10.6 install media using Pacifist (google). The problem is that I have no other OS X installation so I can't use Pacifist. Is there something that can do this on Windows? Beerkex'd
Have you tried booting in safe mode or single user mode and delete the modified one? Beerkex'd
Boot from your install DVD, run Terminal and delete it from there. Remember to delete the kextcache as well.
