Hey all,

after I installed iATKOS v7 on my HP 530 notebook with any possible combination of preselections (drivers, kernels etc.) and boot up Mac OS X i always & CONSTANTLY(!) get the "Are you sure you want to shut down your computer now?" popup with "Shut down" highlighted. If i try to cancel that i popups again, same with choosing restart or shut down.

NOTE: I know that you can shut down your computer with hotkey combinations & via terminal, but thats NOT the problem(!).

My actions to try to fix that:

- disable all "Sleep" options in system preferences + disabling reboot/shutdown schedule

- disabling one CPU core, didn't work

- choose different keyboard layouts (german, U.S.)

- checking whether the power button is constantly pressed (stick/dirt problems on the keyboard)

- Trying another keyboard (an Logitech G11) without using PS/2 drivers for internal keyboard and trackpad (tried Apple PS/2 and Voodoo PS/2)

- Trying another keyboard (an Logitech G11) while using PS/2 drivers for internal keyboard and trackpad (tried Apple PS/2 and Voodoo PS/2)

- as mentioned above tried every combination of selections/drivers before install (including kernels, OHR, display drivers etc.)

Now i don't have any ideas left how to fix that and i couldn't find anything useful with google and that problem is slowly drving me insane :)

Same Problem on Toshiba Satellite A505-S6960.

Same on Compac nc6320.

However, I solved it by not choosing anything, just let it install by default settings, in BIOS the only thing I inactivated was the dual for the processor, single mode only.

By choice i first had the  laptops screen ( only one resolution and no support for all ), keyboard and mouse pad, but that annoying message if i wanted to restart the computer etc.. didn't go away what ever I tried.

So after not picking anything, it was stuck, but then i hooked in a second LCD, and it started the welcome, after that it said there were no keyboard, so I hocked in a USB-board, and a mouse and that's it. Have now fully graphic support and it works okay for me. Uses a USB internet device, so I can take down whats missing.  :)
