It always hangs when checking ATA devices... my specs are Dell Latitude D505 1.7 GHZ Pentium M Everything Intel from the graphics to networking 60GB HD Is it possible that I have to format the HD before starting ??? jfman Posted September 5, 2005 Share Posted September 5, 2005 I found the easiest way to get it onto a D505 was dding the vmware image onto a second partition alongside windows xp. By doing that, retaining windows xp, I used vmware to boot my hard disk into OS X and followed the instructions on the HCL for a D505. I haven't managed to get core image or quartz extreme support, wireless doesn't work and I have to boot using platform=x86pc. Other than that its fine.
