Hey,

 

Well this is my first post. Well anyway it's getting towards the end of my ninth grade school year and i'll be getting a new pc. I don't have much to spend so i was considering purchasing the "HP Pavilion a1218n"

My question is, is this PC Compatible for the OS X installation? Also i will need to purchase the installation Disc is this PC is compatible. Well thanks for the help

That pc will likely work well, but Apple doesnt officially support osx on anything other than an apple branded machine, so as far as buying the software, that is a no go. No to mention theres about 20 patches you need to apply to the installation disk to make it work on anything other then a mac.

hey i have the HP Pavilion a1218n, and i'm running into a few problems here and there, but i had bestbuy install anothe gfx card the x800 wich works perfectly but i don't know how well the integrated graphics works. Ummm... the only problem i'm running into is that i'm getting really low disk test scores like 3.2 on xbench, i'm tyring to slove the problem with this patch http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...XP%20SB400&st=0

which is supposed to fix the problem, but yea i'm running 10.4.6 so yea ask if u have any questions.
