ardizzo5
I recently purchased a dell inspiron e1405 and I am having trouble booting the goatsecx version of 10.4.6 on it. The graphics are gma 950 and the processor is a t2300 core duo. The installer from the burned dvd boots fine and everything installs perfectly and very quickly. If the extraneous stuff it cut from the installation it completes in 15 minutes. However, when I try to reboot the computer and run osx for the first time, the computer moves through the gray screen and once the blue screen with the starting osx dialog box shows up everything stops. Osx was installed on a primary partition created with partition magic and boot magic has been used to allow me to boot into the osx partition. Also, I have disabled the second core, which has not worked. What is going on here? Dwayne
Try running with -x to see if it helps. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19374-cant-boot-osx-1046-goatsecx-on-dell-e1405/#findComment-126963 Share on other sites
