Missing files in SL installation

Hey guys

Need some help please. I've been trying to install Snow Leopard on my laptop for a few hours.

I have tried 2 methods:

1) Having 2 partitions, 1 with working Leopard and the other to install SL to. I have the SL image in the Leopard partition and install it in the other one.

2) Same 2 partition, 1 with working Leopard. Tried to install SL from external hard drive to the other partition.

 

Using both methods I keep getting an error about missing files when the installation reaches 75% or so, then it quits.

Tried 2 different SL images with no results.

 

What's wrong with my installation? Anyone having the same problem?
