MithrilFox
Hi everyone, Have an interesting situation. I've been running my EP45-UD3P Hackintosh/Windows 7 machine for weeks now without a problem, everything worked great. I turned it on last night to check something online, then turned it off. No sign of trouble. This morning, I tried to turn it on, and after attempting to start for a few seconds, it just shuts down. Did this a few times in a row, and now it's completely dead. Tried a different power cable, tried a different surge protector plugged into a different outlet, nothing will get it to turn on. I tried: * Removing the RAM, no luck * Removing the graphics card, no luck * Holding a screwdriver to the CMOS jumpers to reset the settings, no luck * Turning off all the power, unplugging everything, and waiting. No luck. * Looking for any damaged or disconnected cables. Pulled them out and plugged them back in. No luck. * Using an airblower to clean out the inside. No luck. * Assuring that everything is tightly connected and that the fan is tight against the CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo). No luck. NOTHING has changed since last night, I didn't even open the machine up or move it in the least bit. It just refuses to boot up. I push the power button, and nothing. I hit reset, pull the plug out, try again, nothing. Any ideas? My PSU (power box) is brand-spanking new and more than powerful enough to handle everything I got. The thing that crosses my mind is your power supply, it just might be that there is something wrong with it, so try some other PSU. maybe the cable that connects the PSU and your MB. nothing else crosses my mind for now.
