omgtuxca
I had windows vista ultimate sp1, and then decided to upgrade to Windows 7. Unfortunately, after I installed windows 7, the chain0 switcher thing wouldn't show up, even though I kept my chain0 file in c:\. I realized it was because the legacies are different, so I downloaded a new chain0 file. Unfortunately, I don't know what I do to edit it.. I can't find my previous instructions, and I don't even know if it will work for sure. Can someone give me instructions on editing my chain0 file with windows 7? OS X is located in (0,3) drive 0, partition 3. and the instructions that i found with google didn't work. And I also want to know if it will work? or will I have to just reinstall os x? Thanks. pmorcos
i'm in the same boat. I had a perfectly working dual boot vista / MacosX going. I upgraded vista to windows 7 and it appeared to be going well. Windows 7 boots fine and I do get the choice to boot into MacOSX but when I choose it I get the following error.. file: \chain0 Status: 0xc0000098 Info: The selected entry could not be located because the application is missing or corrupt. So you think Chain0 needs to be edited? Any help from a guru would be greatly appreciated.
