Well, heres the problem. I can install Snow Leopard from a fully working Ideneb system, and have it running fine. However, when i go to install it from a retail dvd i get a seemingly random kernel panic during installation. I have a fully working and patched DSDT.aml, if thats got anything to do with it.

To create my bootcd, i used BootCDMaker, with the following kexts:

AppleNforceATA. (not sure whether its compiled for 64bit or 32bit)

fakesmc

voodoohda, etc.

Qoopz kernel/modbin test7.

EFI String for Graphics.

and all the other necessary ones (can't remember off the top of my head) but they worked fine when i installed from leopard.

Oh, and the kernel panic doesn't relate to anything like a particular kext, so its baffled me a a bit.

Any ideas?

Specs

Biostar MCP6P M2+

AMD Athlon 64 6000+

4GB RAM

Nvidia 8500gt.

Samsung HD50ILJ 500GB.

Thanks in advance!
