I'm installed iAtkos v7 distro and need to get Sapphire Radeon HD4850 work. What I get now is flash of starting Leopard, black screen and after that monitor lose signal. 10.5.7 include already HD4850 drivers right? And now I've to install magical netkas package here: http://netkas.org/?p=104, where're natit and aty_init integrated into one.

Problem is how I'll install package? I'm not able to boot in Leopard and install .pkg because it gives me black screen when booting. And if I'm so lucky that I'm able to install it are there some kexts I shoud remove?

I've got now monitor in VGA port, TV in hdmi and DVI2HDMI adapter in DVI port. Hardware:

Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-UD2H

Sapphire Radeon HD4850 512MB GDDR3 Dual Slot

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.7GHz

Kingston HyperX 4GB 1066MHZ DDR2

Got problem solved so far that Leopard boot in safe mode -x after fresh install. Only thing I have to notice was unselect ATI drivers when customizating setup. Installed netkas .pkg for ati cards (link in previous post), but after boot screen is black and it lose signal even if I boot with flags -v -f or -x.

So, netkas dvi2vga trick is kinda individual. In his hd4850 there're two dvi ports, but in my hd4850 here're dvi, hdmi and vga ports. Like here http://www.skycomp.com.au/images/products/vgasap51248b_1.jpg

How I plug my monitors in hd4850 and which converter are needed and necessary?

Ok, I'm surrounded. Searching insanely information from google and found that HD4850 vga+hdmi+dvi card isn't supported in Leopard. It works without any ATI drivers in safe mode res 1024x768.

So have to wait working kexts.. Maybe in snow leopard. Hope so!
