help needed! ATI Club3d HD 4870 1gb -- No HPETs available CPU(s) configured incorrectly

hello!

i just bought the club3d hd 4870 1gb graphics card and it won't let me boot to snow leopard. i had an existing installation of SL working on my 9400gt and after i changed cards it hangs on startup.

i tried the PC EFI 10.4 and i even tried to install a fresh SL installation with my old card, since the 4780 won't even let me boot up SL installer.

the first error i got was: No HPETs available CPU(s) configured incorrectly

..so after i read somewhere that the fix was to delete AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext

i did that and got the error: ACPI_SMC_Platform_Plugins::start waitForService(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out

 

so pleeeeasse. if anybody knows what to do. help would be appreciated! thanks!
