Help for Acer 1640z ALC883 Audio - Not Working

Hi All,

 

Notebook is an Aspire 1640z (three ports on front of Notebook)

 

Ive tried most of the solutions posted for ALC883, including

 

all versions of taruga

and voodoo hda

 

None are working (that is to say, using the procedures I used following the guides)

 

Testing has been done using both 10.5.5 installs and 10.5.8

 

Ive not tried dsdt patching, its a bit beyond me at this point (any suggestions welcome)

 

If anyone could help me find a solution, I would be grateful.

Side Note:

All is working well otherwise except for WiFI - Currently using Voodoo2200BG, working but intermittent, not very solid and with problems with wep negociations
