I have a Toshiba Satellite A305 that I'm trying to get a vanilla install working for.

I have gotten OS X installed using a boot CD for a Gigabyte motherboard and a vanilla 10.5.6 disc.

The hardware is like so:

PM45 chipset, ICH9

Core 2 Duo T5800

4GB memory

320GB SATA drive

Pioneer SATA DVD-RW

Radeon HD3450

A USB keyboard and mouse are required right now until I get PS2 kexts installed, and the Realtek LAN should work with the R1000 driver. I have both on a USB key along with EFI studio to get the Radeon 3450 working. Here's what's weird:

The keyboard and mouse only work if you power up with them plugged in. I think the BIOS is doing PS2 legacy emulation. Nothing else plugged into the USB ports is detected, regardless of whether it's plugged in at boot or plugged in later. so I have no way, as of now, to get the right kext onto the machine. Maybe I'll burn a CD. Regardless, any suggestions on what USB kexts I need?

Nevermind. I burned a CD with the Chameleon 2.0 RC2 package and installed it. Then I copied the kexts from my boot132 CD (for an EP45-UD3P) to the /Extra/Extensions folder and rebooted. Now my USB drive is identified.

Now all I have left is LAN, wifi, audio, PS2 devices (keyboard and trackpad), and the Radeon. We're getting there! When I'm done I'll zip up my /Extra/Extensions folder and post it for those with a similar system.
