Sazbi
Help! I am getting back into the apple community slowly and have had macs in the past. after migrating to PC i have found that i might want to come back, so therefor i wish to install OSX on an old Desktop of mine to see if it will fit my needs and should it do so i will start to invest back into mac...but first i need ya'lls help. I have an ASUS P4S8X Mobo with a Prescott Celeron D processor with 1gb of ram and a 250gb 7500RPM Sata HDD and was wondering if there was any versions out (modded or not) that would support my hardware. any input would be greatly apprciated! -Saz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/192828-help-completely-new-to-this/ Share on other sites
gerkX
I don't know anything about your hardware's compatibility. But I was in a similar situation, here's what I'd suggest. Get a second hard drive so you don't have to worry about messing up your working windows install, then just give it a try. I went through dozens, (literally, over 24 times closer to 30), of installs before I got it right. Looking around online if you're lucky you might find someone who used similar hardware and have posted their experience, but for the most part there's a lot of trial and error, and you're on your own.
