froberg Posted October 18, 2009 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Ok so I seem to have a pretty big problem. I have an Intel Dual Core processor @ 2 ghz. Problem is though, it's not running like one, I seems a little slow sometimes. Generic CPU Power Management Control shows both cores are only running at about 1,2 ghz. I also only got a 2800 point score in Geekbench, which seems pretty low, considering I have 4 gb ram. I've got a friend who has a similar problem, he has a dual core @ 2,4 ghz, but in Snow Leopard it only showed 2,2. So is it possible the OS is underclocking the processor, and if so, how do I fix it? I got the Voodoopower.kext (v 1.2.3) installed btw. If that matters. Thanks. indiandragon Posted December 17, 2009 Share Posted December 17, 2009 Hi all, Iam having Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz processor in my inspiron 1520 running snowleopard 10.6.2 in 64bit mode, I face similar problem as froberg. My processor seems to run in 1.2 GHz clock, Iam not using any speedstep kexts. Have anyone got solution for this issue? Looking forward for your reply,thanks in advance .
