Question: To install on a drive sharing a NTFS partition does the mac partition need to be before the NTFS?

ie. can i make some free space on a NTFS drive after the partition then install and make a mac partition in that free space without harming the existing NTFS partition?

i could do that but i want to add the mac partition to a drive that already has a NTFS partition on it.

Yeha bummer about that, as far as i can tell, the dvd install will install to a harddrive not a partition, as yet the only way to get a working install onto a partition with a already working windows install is HERE (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Install_On_A_Partition_Simple_And_Accurate)

this method works well, but it would be nice to have a fresh install instead of a DD to a partition...
