NineTailedfox
installed from DVD Apple.OS.X.x86.10.4.Generic.Install.DVD AMD64 3500+ (NewCastle) Gigabyte K8NSNXP-939 6800GT (booted to 1024x768) 2gig ram no sound/lan as of yet need to play around with getting a dualboot slow bootup but was very easy, start to finish no errors. Question: To install on a drive sharing a NTFS partition does the mac partition need to be before the NTFS? ie. can i make some free space on a NTFS drive after the partition then install and make a mac partition in that free space without harming the existing NTFS partition? Straylight
i could do that but i want to add the mac partition to a drive that already has a NTFS partition on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeha bummer about that, as far as i can tell, the dvd install will install to a harddrive not a partition, as yet the only way to get a working install onto a partition with a already working windows install is HERE (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Install_On_A_Partition_Simple_And_Accurate) this method works well, but it would be nice to have a fresh install instead of a DD to a partition... -Straylight Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1924-dvd-install-succes/#findComment-12867 Share on other sites
simpleSoft
I have this iso as well but it seems like all the guides are calling for the Flat.img (deadmoo). What guide did you use to install OS X? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1924-dvd-install-succes/#findComment-23875 Share on other sites
