justgeeking Posted October 16, 2009 Share Posted October 16, 2009 Im gonna try to get that ticking sound from a SATA drive to be corrected. I really dont know if its gonna work... I seen a youtube video last week how the person wrapped the drive in a little terry cloth towl then put it in a zip lock bag... then put it in the freezer for how long i really dont know exactly but i will take it out after i hit about a hour or so..just gonna gonna let it settle to room temp on its own,,,, it for imac i got from my friend that bought a new one cause the one he gave was really messed up with issues im replacing some capicitors from the mother board that seem they went bad on him.. Question has anyone tried these D.I.Y tasks?
