Toshiba Equium M40X

I'm pretty new to this, having some trouble, not sure if my system is able to support OSx86

I initially installed an old version of Darwin on the machine (Not sure which, probably an old Tiger version, this was years ago) but since then the system gets past the apple logo, but freezes on the blue screen. I haven't checked out what going on behind the scenes, but I could post errors if needed.

 

After this installation other boot disks won't even load, I've tried iATKOS 7 and Kalway 10.5.2, though they will boot if I wipe the hard-drive with a windows install disk. Both encountered errors and didn't install, though I didn't boot with any changed settings or hardware changes (I don't know how! After hours of reading every guide I've found is too complicated or too simplified, so I decided to try here)

 

Wondering if anyone could help me with any information for my specific laptop, maybe changes to the boot or commands? Thanks!

 

If not I suppose this system is a no-go, though I know as one version has at least installed that it may be possible on this machine, I just don't have the knowledge. =/
