Post your Rig specs

Sorry if this has been requested/posted previously. I looked but didn't really see a thread based on this. I think bofors thread is excellent but we could expand on this.

 

If this has been done before, a link to the thread would be much appreciated.

 

I am getting ready to build my own rig and I am looking for advice. I really enjoy the HCL but I find it difficult to compile a working combination from it. Poster's signature's are great with this info but there aren't that many and I think alot of good info could be communicated.

 

So, Please post your rig specs, what is working and not, iso version used and install method. Also, if your want to give any sidebar advice about your experience.

 

I think the most useful hardware info would be:

 

Motherboard

CPU

Memory(amount)

HDD type SATA/PATA

Sound

Video Card type and resolution

Any other periph. you want to add
