Hi - I am a self confessed noob and i've been googling non stop to get this working but am not any further. I really hope you can help. I got my Palit 9800GTX+ working by using os86x tools from pcwiz and using the efi string for a very similar card, the 9800GTX (no plus).

CI/QE is not enabled and i was wondering if anyone could help me to get this working?

Thanks,

Doc

I used osx86tools to create a custom efi string but the QE and CI info is not even showing up at all in the system profile:

Have now tried gfxutil too with no success. Screen works from the point of view that it is the right res and has lots of colours but the QE entry is not showing up in system profile under graphics as above so I guess QE/CI is not working :)

Just read a thread that says that 10.6 does not list QE in system profile since all mac's have QE in 10.6. Hmm so I don't think I have it enabled since my menu bar is solid white and not translucent. Also I have seen that there are really nice ripple effects in dashboard on some youtube vids but i have none of that.

Just read that 10.6 doesn't list QE since all 10.6 machines should have QE anyway. I still don't think I have it since I don't have the lovely ripple effects in dashboard that I have seen other people get :) Tried everythign I can think of at this point.
