sierradump
I would like to know what I could possibly be doing wrong in preparing the HD for installation? I can get OSx86 to install "Install Succeeded" but I can't get it to boot. EVER. During the install, before selecting drive to install to; I have been going to Disk Utility. I select my HARDRIVE (and not the partition) and choose "ERASE" tab. I set the options for "Mac OS X Extended (JOURNAL)" then give the drive a name and choose ERASE. I was under the impression that this erases and formats the drive? And it successfully installs to the drive. BUT EVERYTIME THE INSTALLER REBOOTS AFTER SUCCESSFUL INSTALL, I get errors of one thing or another. HOW THE HECK DO I GET THIS TO WORK! If someone could please explain a simple way to prepare the drive so that after the install it works I would be so grateful. Thanks.
