coolforyou Posted October 10, 2009 Share Posted October 10, 2009 hi guys , i am new here and i am so happy to find this excellent forum , so please guys i want to know 1. what is the difference between hachintosh and machintosh ? do we get the full quality of machintosh in hachintosh ? 2. can i install the original version of mac osx into my normal pc(pentium 4 ) ? .. upto my knowledge we cannot install original mac osx into normal pc ,but here in our forum we have the following osx OSx86 10.6 (Snow Leopard), OSx86 10.5 (Leopard) , OSx86 10.4 (Tiger) i want to know wheather these os 's are original mac osx or they are hachintosh ? 3. I want to have dual boot in my normal pc windows with mac osx , so please direct me to the correct guide to do dual boot with windows and mac osx , actually i am totally confused in formating my disk to install mac osx with windows as dual boot ........... please guys i hope you all will help me ..thank you very much in advance and sorry for asking help in question manner ..... Tony Hock Posted October 15, 2009 Share Posted October 15, 2009 Yes it is the same as a mac, but you need to have very specific setups to make it work. go here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page and find the compatibility lists, check all of your hardware to see if it works. If your stuff isn't there then there's a good chance it's not going to work out for you. For your motherboard try iATkos v7. Google for this and download the iso and install it directly. Once its done please post how it went on .IT will help u shoot of to Snow Leopard. The prefetch as per installing mac os x (Stock version) is that u need compatible motherboard. But since ur a new comer i would suggest goin with distributions like iAtkos r iDeneb. since these distributions are tailor made to cater to a wide variety of motherboards. So go ahead and install iAtkos and u will get to know the experience. To facilitate this people have develped iAtkos distribution.
