I thought I would pass this info along to the Hackintosh community.

I recently purchased a mini-pci Atheros based card for my Fujitsu N6420, granted the card came from another Fujitsu Model not remotely the same as mine (A Series), and it's recognized as an AirPort Extreme card without any kext editing.

I figured if this worked for me it might work for many other laptop owners if they know what they're looking for.

If you know what interface your internal wifi card uses then you can find the replacement card cheap here.

This is the seller I got my card from and he has many more, all you need to do is find out which PCI interface your card is using, and here's how.

Normally, in the majority of laptops, the wifi card is under the keyboard, and they're, on average, easy to remove.

From the top of laptop, towards the screen, usually has a bezel that's just snapped in place or held by a few screws, remove that and then you should see the screws holding your keyboard in place, once you remove those screws the keyboard will lift up (no need to unplug it if you don't have to, just move it out of the way).

Once there you should look for 2 wires coming from the LCD area in the corner, usually black and gray or both black, follow them because the card might be under an extremely thin plastic cover or film, you will see the wires attached to opposite corners of a removable card, that's going to be your wifi card, and it's held in place the same way your ram is, with metal clips.

Take a close look at it, see what style of PCI connector it is, and make note of that.

Now go to the ebay seller listed earlier and see what types of cards he has that matches up with yours and is Atheros based, make sure you also Google to find out what chip it's actually using, you don't want one that won't work in OS X.

Even though the cards are listed for only certain brands, if the PCI connector matches what you have it will work with your laptop, the interfaces are all standard they're not proprietary.

Here's a link to the card I just received and it only cost me $8.

This card is recognized as an AirPort Extreme and worked instantly, hopefully you'll be as lucky as I was.

If you have any question feel free to PM me.
