I have a couple of direct questions to some users out there. Those that have uploaded specific kext files and instructions for the P5Q Deluxe...

I haven't gotten any replies yet and so maybe a new topic will help. I have tried 2 different install types: Boot 1-3-2 Mars and another where I modify the OSXInstall.mpkg and restore to a 2nd HDD. Both methods work well, particularly the Mars boot disc because it gets my video right OOTB. (Nvidia GTS 250 512MB) and works on dual monitors.

However, after searching for days I have tried several times and several kexts to get sound working on the AD2000B and the Yukon Ethernet to work...Without these two my Hackintosh is worthless. I have installed the kexts, fixed disc permissions and rebooted and there is no change. There are numerous posts saying "I got this working with this kext on the P5Q Deluxe" and so what in the world am I doing wrong if these people are using the same kexts?

Is there some detail that is being left out of the other posts or is my noobishness just too much for me to overcome?

Dear Harry, I just got my P5Q Deluxe working with 10.5.8 by iDeneb. Only Sound output is working with AppleHDA (not the original one) and VoodooHDA.kext. In the www I found under VoodooHDA a release with VoodooHda prefPane released by Thireus. My two ethernet- ports are working with skge.kext and Marvell Yukon 8xxx.Kext. I tried so many things that I can´t remember exactly, but this was the right direction. Still looking for better audio solution, I will now try my iMic-USB Device. Installation seems to be very stable. Sometimes shutdown doesn´t work.Look at the attachments: inside are my currently running Ethernet-Kexts and one Audio-Kext.Good luck.
