CatalystATL
Hello all, I have snow leopard running on a Dell Studio XPS 435mt (Core i7 920 @ 2.66Ghz, 6GB RAM) and I have overcome many issues with getting the box to work as a functional system. One lingering issue that I'm having is that the system seems to be running faster than the system thinks it is. This manifests itself in a few ways: if I look at the clock and turn on the option to see the seconds go by, its counting nearly twice as fast as actual time should be. Also, playing video files (quicktime, vlc, and mplayer) the video is sped up and sometimes the sound its really choppy. I've done a little bit of reading and I've that the fsb= boot flag may solve this, but I tried fsb=133 (which I think is the correct calculation) and it did not help anything. Is there anything else I can do to make the system perform as it should? Thanks in advance for the help.
