mac09hack
I have Snow Leopard 10.6 loaded onto a SATA drive on my Hackintosh computer. It needs plenty of help as it is. The boot drive does not show up on the desktop or in Startup Disk. I have no sound - I have no working network (Enet) - I have only one video resolution (1280x1024) My system: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 with 12 GB DDR3 RAM and EVGA Nvidia 9800GTX+ 512MB video card. 1 1TB disk with 10.5.8 loaded (works very well) and 1 500 GB drive with Snow Leopard. SATA CD/DVD burner and SATA BluRay burner. Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 case and 900 w power supply. Any one have ideas? Beerkex'd
32- or 64-bit mode? If you're in 32-bit mode you can (largely) use the same fixes and drivers that work for 10.5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/190887-fixes-for-snow-leopard-x86/#findComment-1292083 Share on other sites
bren1818
Hey Man, saw your posting, I have a quick suggestion for you, when you turn on your computer enter your bios and check what the disk mode is set to eg (sata, sata irrt, sata ehci ) change it (it isnt already) to JUST the sata options. this will usually let the hdd show up. Also try installing it with a chameleon boot loader. btw... whered you get your image for sno leopard? I have Snow Leopard 10.6 loaded onto a SATA drive on my Hackintosh computer. fart pants
You could try finder preferences and tick hard drives on desktop. Regards Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/190887-fixes-for-snow-leopard-x86/#findComment-1319807 Share on other sites
