intel 82801g ICH7

Hi All

 

I recently installed leopard on my mini centrino desktop and sound does not work.

 

00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller [8086:27d8] (rev 02)

 

For some reason, I noticed its the same as a early 2006 model macbook pro.

 

I have tried the voodooHDA and the too fix sound packages, to no avail.

 

It must be simple but I just can't see the problem.

Ok after a day of stuffing around, I decided to use a usb audio unit, which works perfectly.

 

I don't have the time nor resources to keep, hoping for the internal sound to work.

 

Guess a $5 usb sound card is my only option at the moment.

I have the same audio device, the only thing i have found that does anything is AzaliaAudio.

it enabled the audio mixer for me, but the audio didn't work at first. for me after the 3-4 boot it randomly started working, when i restarted it would not work on the next boot. after a few weeks the more i used it the more it works, at first it took 4-5 boots to work, now every other boot, weird i know, maybe you'll have better luck with it.
