crapkiller
Well, i recently installed mac OS 10.5.6 on my compaq presario sr1950nx, i used iPC 10.5.6 ppf5 (final). I used the proper chipset, and audio drivers, along with a few others (ps2, usb etc) (I didnt use a video driver because when i tried it with a video, the first boot just got stuck) The problem is when i am in a window, say safari, and i scroll down, the original viewable part stays on the screen, and only the very bottom of it actually changes like it should. The same thing happens when i move a window around. when i move a window around, the original image of the window stays where it is, and where ever the window WAS, but no longer IS, changes to the background. The only way to fix this is to minimize the window, and unminimize it. The weird part is, some websites work fine. Most appear to have the problem, but i have found 2 so far that work fine. This one (insanelymac.com) and hotmail (hotmail.com). Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong, or better yet, how i could fix it? It is a shame, because like this, it is un-useable, and everything else works... Audio, usb wifi adapter, ps2 mouse and keyboard, etc. Thanks! NOTE: It doesnt appear to just be an intermittent thing, where it happens sometimes, and sometimes not, regardless of the website, it ALWAYS happens on google.com, and most others, and it NEVER happens on insanelymac.com and hotmail.com. And the window moving problem always happens. I haven't found an exception yet.
