Guys,

I don't know what I did wrong, but, let me explain my story...

(first off all, sorry about the misspelled english, im from Brasil)

I had a sucessful iPC 10.5.6->10.5.8 installation paired with a Windows Vista on the same harddrive (2 partitions).

About three weeks ago, that Hard Drive collapsed, but, thank God, I was able to recover and backup those files, hooking it up my wife's hack.

Then I bought a 1.5 tb hard drive and began to study the installation of SL. First I tried hooking the new HD to my wife's working 10.5.8 OS, formatted as a GUID Partition, and tried the Guide posted by ricula (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=182123&st=60).

Well, I could not make my own gfx string, and neither my dsdt file, but i tried anyway. Not a surprise, I got the boot0:error on reboot.

Then, I got back on the leo os and tried again, hoping that the custom files I found on the web (dsdt and gfx string) would do the trick.... but nothing.

Then, I gave up, and tried to do my original dual-boot installation - with Vista / Leo 10.5.8, using this guide (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=39253).

But, surprisingly, the system would only boot up when I kept the Mac OS Distro DVD inside the drive.

Tried to do the -s fdisk stuff described on the guide, but, resulted on some sort of error I don't remember, and would not boot up at all (the same boot0:error).

Then, I gave up the dual booting, since I have 2 HDs, installing a OS per HD.

But now, when I try to install the Mac OS on the large drive (the one I tried all this stuff), it keeps w/ thw boot0:error stuff, only booting up when leaving the DVD inside.

Tried to use gparted live (but I extremely new and noob on that, and everytime I tried to use it to partition that drive it ended up w/ a could not partition the drive because its not a multiple of 4k.

What you guys suggest I can do to repair its "boot" capabilities?

Thanks in advance.
