Help getting stuff working on ES2L Rev 2 Board

I am having trouble getting the on board sound and sleep working with my ES2L Rev 2 board. I got the network working by installing a card. I created the USB installer using the EP45UD3P Snow Leopard which I know is not right but we could not get Chameleon to install on the USB.

 

Here are something I need help with:

• on board sound When I go to System Pref > Sound > Output, it says No output devices found.
  
• Sleep is not working either
  
• for my video card how do I find the correct EFI string
  
• is it possible to get the on board networking working, so I do not have to use a card.
  

I am guessing that these are just kext changes, but how and where do I make these? Will I have to reinstall the OS after making this, no biggie if I do. Or will I have to remake the USB installer. If so can I make it from my Snow Leopard machine?

 

One other question I had, when we were creating the USB we were using an Snow Leopard machine could this be why chameleon was not install. Does chameleon need to run on 10.5.

 

As you probably guessed I am very new to this and new to the Mac, so if you could make your answers as specific as possible it would be great!!

 

Once I get everything working, I plan to write up a guide for others.
