Hi, i d like to experiment on a hackintosh. my system is the following:

Cpu : pentium 4 Prescott 3.2ghz sse3,socket 478

Mobo : Albatron px865pec pro with intel i865p/pe/g/i848P chipset southbridge: 82801EB (ICH5)

hard drive: sata interface 7200rpm 500gb

I have formated my hdd appropriately and tried to install iatkos v.7 on my system. Problem is that after i pass the customization page, where it should start installing it, a message pops up saying sthing like "The Installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install."

can anyone help as to what should i do?

I have to mention that i am not that familiar yet with the whole procedure and i am not sure what should be checked and what not in the customization page so if anyone knows exactly what i should check pls tell me.

if you want more data about my system pls tell me what you need.

thanx in advance

It seems that what was causing the problem was the installation dvd. probably corrupted data or something.

I burned another dvd of the same image and got to installation page finally.

Notice though that both dvds i used were burned with the same recorder and program, were both dvd-r,and both were burned slowly and verified succesfully afterwards!

I didn't continue with the installation because i have a new pc now,so i will try it on the new one.

I just wanted to post that in case somenone bumps into the same problem and so he/she can find by searching this post.
