pigfarmer44
hi everyone, first post here. i have looked but i cant find the answer, probably missed it. i have a asus pw5dh deluxe with 2 sata hdds i have win 7 on oe and osx on the other. to access either os, i have to go into bios and change the hdd preferenece order to the drive i want to boot from. i still have to put the install (kalyway) disc in the dvd drive to boot to osx, because if i dont i get an error: b0 error. i tried using easy bcd in windows, but because windows cant even see the drive, this isnt working either. when i installed osx i ticked guid instead of mbr. will i have to install both os on the same drive, or is there a way around this? many thanks in advance. srs5694
You don't say what OSx86 boot loader you're using (if any). The answer is probably to reconfigure your boot loader or install a different one. Common OSx86 boot loaders include PC-EFI, Chameleon, and Boot Think. You should be able to get one of them to work. (Try Googling on the names to find download links; I don't happen to have any handy.) I get the impression that most people these days are using Chameleon or Boot Think. You should probably install the boot loader to the drive that houses your OS X installation and then set that drive as the default boot drive in the BIOS. With any luck, the OSx86 boot loader will properly detect both your OS X and your Windows installations and provide them to you in a menu.
