Hey guys, noob here, thanks in advance for all your help....

i built a vista machine for friend of mine that was working great, but after hearing of a succesful hackintosh me and another friend built for my studio, he wanted me to turn his computer into a hackintosh. so heres what he has:

MSI P45 Platinum LGA 775 Intel P45 blah blah blah

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775

i had him buy a new hard drive so that if the installation didnt go as planned, he could pop in his working vista drive and go back to the way it was.

i first tried using the boot-132 to use the retail leopard install which got me stuck on the gray apple screen with no spinning circle. so we abandoned that method and went for the ideneb 10.5.7 install. shortly into that install however we got a bunch of code scrolling down the screen that i have absolutly no idea what it means, but im guessing its bad.

so what i tried next was doing an install on the hard drive using a mac pro that i have at work. then i took the drive and threw it in the hackintosh, using the boot 132, but again i get stuck on the gray apple screen with no spinning. i then tried to do it in "-v" mode to see whats going on. i read that posting the last thing that i says might help you guys help me, so heres the last few lines.

MAC Framework successfully initialized

using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers

i have no idea what this means but maybe you guys do.

is the problem with the hardware? software? should i try another osx86 installer? i cant remember which installer we used at my studio, but i think it was iATKOS. that works great. but this one is being difficult.

thanks again
