Hey,

i just can start my installed distribution with typing in the command -v .

Can anyone tell me how to do this automatically maybe with the bootlist?

And i would like to set up my display to 1280x1024 which could be also fixed via bootlist but i don't know how.

I have a Dell Dimension E520 with two Pentium D an 1024GB Ram.

I have an included Graphic chip which is the Intel x3000

And i would like to set up my Blackmagic Decklink as well. My system doesn recognize it. how to fix that?

That you so much!

Best regards!

Use OSx86Tools. Run it>Click "Add EFI Strings/Boot Flag">type -v in the upper left field>type 1280x1024x32 in the middle left field>click apply changes to com.apple.Boot.plist That's it!

When I installed iPC 10.5.6 onto my PC, my video card (Radeon 9550 AGP) would be set to 1024x768, I then adding 1680x1050x32@60 to "com.apple.Boot.plist" but when I rebooted, the resolution was higher, but only at 1280x1024, is there a limit to the resolution you can set in "com.apple.Boot.plist" without using the proper video card drivers?

First of all this resolution flag does work only during the boot process. Then the system is booted, the flag becomes useless - the VGA driver is needed. The next thing that @60 is needed only then connecting the CRT monitors to set the proper refresh rate. LCD monitors do not need it (if connected via the DVI). As for the higher resolution... The VGA card may not be used at it's full power during the boot (e.g. soft image instead of the core image). So the resolution may not be as higher than that. A proper driver may fix it.

Hello,

thanks for your help. Itried to fix my bootoptions problem with the osx86 tools. first i got an error "no such file or directory" so i took the app und dropped it out of the osx86tools folder right into the application folder. Now it works and also supports quite boot option.

But i'm still looking for a hint to make OSx recognize the Blackmagic Decklink PCI Card...

Also my "about this mac" doesn't show me my ram.

thanks for your help.

Ever you need to install/install different AppleSMBIOS.kext or use OSx86Tools to fix it. If you use chameleon2, then try using smbios.plist.

Maybe a stupid question, but do you have drivers installed properly?
