mawe10
After upgrading my system (OSX 10.6.1) from a Intel E6750 to a Intel Q9550 (E0) cpu I have got a kernel panic. There is no way to start the systems with any flag I tried. There is also a kernel panic during a potential new install (boot disk + OSX 10.6 retail-dvd) even after reseting the bios. If I go back to the E6750, the system is booting without any problems. My specs: Asus P5E-VM HDMI (Bios 0604) 8 GB Kingston DDR2 SDRAM 800 MHz (4 x 2GB) Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 512MB (MSI Silent) Hitachi HDP725050GLA360 Did anybody else experience similar problems? Any kind of help is appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/189390-kernel-panic-after-cpu-upgrade-from-e6750-to-q9550/ Share on other sites
kingafrica
I had the same problem when I put my QX6850 cpu in. So I've reverted back to my old two core processor. Really annoying.. I have had no response to my post either. I'm just wondering have you had any more luck?
