akijikan
So I installed iPC OS 10.5.6 on my setup: Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 (VIA PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra chipset, Realtek ALC 888) Intel Pentium E5200 2.5GHz 1 GB DDR-400 Radeon HD 2600XT 512gb -- AGP USB Marbleman Mouse PS/2 Keyboard Selected Install options/drivers - 9.5.0 Voodoo Kernel - ATI Radeon HD 2600XT AGP - Via/SiS/Marvell/SB Chipset Drivers - ALC 888 audio driver - VIA Rhine ethernet driver - Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 - PS/2 Keyboard Fix I also flashed a osxcores BIOS. So the problem is after installing, if I boot up normal or -f it goes to a blue screen and there is a cursor in the upper left. I can move the cursor with my mouse, though an image of the cursor remains in the upper left even though I've moved my cursor elsewhere on the screen. Nothing happens even after waiting a very long time and there doesn't appear to be any activity on the computer. I was able to boot into safemode (-x) and create an account, but got the blue screen when trying to go back to normal boot. I appreciate any help and suggestions. punk_zappa
After getting in the desktop, try to download and install Voodoo PS/2 fix. I can't guarantee it would work but it's worth a try. You can also try to extract the PS/2 mouse fix, using Pacifist, and install. Thanks for the suggestion, but can I ask why this would address the problem? I'm not using a PS/2 mouse. My USB mouse is working just fine. I guess maybe in my description of the problem I made it sound like the cursor isn't moving. It is moving, it just appears that there are two on the screen; one where ever I move it, and one in the original position that doesn't move at all. My main problem is that a blue screen loads with a cursor and then absolutely nothing happens. punk_zappa
Try this; Reinstall and do not install any kernel. Also, do not install a video driver. Try that and see what happens. Sometimes it takes a few installs to get it right.
