secureprivacy
Hello, I have a computer which I have been trying to run Mac OS X on- I have tried iDeneb v1.6, Kalyway 10.5.2 and iPC 10.5.6 which all kernel boot - iDeneb and iPC also load the white Apple booting screen but doesn't actually boot - there is not spiral thing on the white background. I have tried verbose mode -and it says it is "Waiting for boot device" or something like that- and never loads past that screen. My current hardware: Palit II-G31 Motherboard Intel (GMA3100) (nb/ i have tried using my other nv8400GS card but it also fails) Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 1.6GHz Phillips SPD2414T 160GB Sata 4GB DDR2-800 RAM Level_one WNC0600 N-One PCI Wireless Card Please help! I managed to install Leopard on my machine finally with GMA3100 using the Natit.kext - now is there any way to: 1) Change resolution to 1440X900 (rite now it is 1024X768) 2) Run Windows Apps on Mac? DJ Stn
Have tried to install OS-X on an Asus P5G31A with Intel GMA3100 internal graphics card. I also use a MacBook Air with internal GMA X3100, so thought that the GMA3100 would work with OS-X, but this seems not true. The driver for the X3100 does not support the different GMA3100. So I tried an other graphics card, the AMD HD3650 PCIx16 with 512 MB. I selected the modified AMD driver in the customize part of the installation, but still the PC hanged in the Apple boot screen. When using the 3850 driver I got OS-X to work, but without CI/QE hardware support. Downloading a special modified driver for the HD3650 and using Natit, got me CI/QE to be supported, but the display would not go to sleep any more. Finally bought a HD2600XT PCIx16 with 256 MB. This is one of the standard graphics cards that are being used in a MacPro. Selected none of the graphics drivers in the customize part; only Natit, and it works perfect. My advise is to look for a graphics card that has the same specifications as one that is being used by Apple in their MacPro's. This will ensure that all graphic functions of your PC will work fine. If you want to use Windows Apps on your OS-X PC, bootcamp will not be supported, so use Parallels of VMware Fusion, to install Windows XP/ Win7 as a virtual machine. Thanks, I managed to install my Nvidia 8400GS using NVdarwin 256 driver, and it works! 1) Is Parallels free or paid? 2) FOr some reason, my keyboard is not functioning properly- it did during installation and registration and a while after installation- now its just dead.
