xtreemnet Posted September 26, 2009 Share Posted September 26, 2009 I have ASUS P5Q SE2 mobo and trying install IATKOS v 7. As sson as I press any key to boot from the dvd my pc restarts. There is no special BIOS for this mobo. I have flashed it with the latest bios from asus web site. Can somneone please help? Thanks. Tevo72 Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 P5Q SE2 Q6600 4GB Kingston Ram You need to mod the BIOS. It took me ages to sort that out, now got modded BIOS 0601. Oh i got it working installing IATKOS V7. You need to disable CPUID, CP Speedstep and CPTM. Enable onboard audio and install VoodooHDA Driver upon installation via the customise section. turbo1poin3 Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 I have a modded BIOS 0401 for my P5Q-SE2. I don't remember where I got it from and I can't find any references to it anywhere but it works fine and I just upgraded to SL using a retail disk. It's only 1 Meg so maybe I can email or let me know where to host it. I tried upgrading to the latest BIOS on the Asus website and I was not able to boot so I'm sticking with my modded 0401 until I find a newer one.
