tony123
Hey All, I finally got snow leopard up and running and everything works perfect apart from it doesn't shut down properly or restart. When i click to shutdown it starts fine then shuts the hard drive off but the machine is still running 30 sec later it restarts. My MOBO is an intel dp43tf and on my previous 10.5.6 installation it used to work fine OOB shutdown/sleep. i have tried the openhaltrestart and nullpower kext etc and nothing seems to work at all. I have repaired permissions and taken the appropriate steps but still nothing. I have tried tweaking my bios and looking at the boot.plist but nothing works . Also if i set the kernel flag to -v the machine actually shuts down properly and says shutdown but never turns off i have to hold the power button down. Any help or ideas would be great as i am nearly there. Oh sleep doesn't work at all but i don't care for that. ps. doesn't work in 32bit or 64bit Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188713-shutdown-not-working-tried-a-lot-of-thingsss/ Share on other sites
