Anyone has successfully to boot Snow with more than 4GB of RAM on AMD ?

I have 8GB or RAM DDR 2 800 which is only being utilized half now.

 

I have to use maxmem=4096 at the moment to make it boot.

 

can anyone help me ?, I am using Asus M2N-VM DH mainboard.

The first thing that is failing is the fsc, CPU Halted... followed by numerous failed kext loading, I think some are related to IOUSBFamily and Storage.

 

I can't get the log otherwise I can post it here. anybody know where to get the log ?

for what it's worth, I'm using 8gb fine under 10.5.8 on my quad core rig, but I have not tried 10.6 on it yet.

 

I was using a custom DSDT file however... Have you tried booting into 32bit?

I am always in 32 bit, uname -a retrun kernel i386. not sure how to boot 64 bit.

I tried press and hold 6 and 4 button during boot but that causing hang with black blank screen.

 

BTW, below is the screen capture. this is where the screen stuck.
