alexismeji
Hey everyone, So I'm ~80% with my hackintosh installation. Right now I'm using 10.5.8 from iDeneb. So far the only things that are missing are, being able to boot w/o the cd, being able to turn off, and most importantly...stability. I don't know if I just have a buggy installation, I'm missing something, or it's a hackintosh thing, but apps keep crashing, it freezes, they don't close, etc. If there is no solution to this I'm gonna have to seriously think about going back to win 7 again, and save for a real mac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188552-are-you-satisfied/ Share on other sites
mr_christer
no crash here whatsoever. everything works like on a real mac. i know because i also work with real macs. i use my hackintosh for video and audio production. if you get it running stable is mainly determined by your mainboard and cpu (intel/amd). i had a lot of stability issues on my old amd system. i don't use windows at all anymore, just to play some games. everything else i do on the hackintosh... Thelgord
I am almost done tweaking my system. I have fixed everything that has gone wrong, upgraded to from 10.5.2 to 10.5.8, got the QE working, got dolby 5.1 working, stopped the mouse from skipping when I use ITunes, and host of other things. I only have one semi-major problem left and that shouldn't tale too long to finish. All in all I think I am happy so far.
